The WS Jacket is the top-of-the-range piece in the BodyFit Pro collection and has been designed for the coldest conditions as a result. WS stands for Windstopper, as the jacket is made from Gore’s ‘4-Way Warm’ Windstopper’ fabric, lined with a light fleece, which is said to offer full protection from the biting wind but with enough stretch to offer a snug fit.

It’s certainly that, with a very close cut across the range, as you’d expect from a collection designed with professional racing in mind.

Other features include close cuffs, which Sportful say help provide a secure fit over gloves. The collar, meanwhile, is high and extends more than two inches, again to provide additional protection from the wind.

At the rear there are three external pockets, while the deep, elasticated hem is lined with silicone grippers.

The jacket is available in three colours, with black and white options besides our high-viz test sample, and seven sizes from XS to XXXL.
