Team Columbia-Highroad will be making the switch from Giant to Scott bikes for the upcoming 2009 season, and the Addict will be their bike of choice.
Introduced in 2007, the Addict is one of the lightest production frames in the world, and is made using Scott’s unique IMP (Integrated Molding Process) technology. Featuring an integrated seatmast, the frame does away with the usual decorative top layer of carbon and employs carbon dropouts and front mech hanger for additional weight savings.
It’s certainly a dramatic looking bike and the team shouldn’t have any quibbles with the ride, it being one of the stiffer carbon frames out there which should suit Mark Cavendish and his explosive sprints.
The team’s Addict frames are equipped with components from Shimano, Pro, Continental, Fizi:k and Elite.
