Cyclefilmʼs latest production ʻThe Road to Tourmaletʼ [sic] – a Recon and Guide DVD to the 2010 LʼEtape du Tour from Pau to the col du Tourmalet – is now on general release.
The 2010 LʼEtape Reconnaissance DVD will be the fourth instalment of the Recon Series, after three previous editions – The Road to Loudenvielle (LʼEtapeʻ07), and The Road to Hautacam (LʼEtapeʼ08) and The Road to Mt.Ventoux (LʼEtapeʼ09).
Join Cyclefilm and sportive rider Michael Cotty for the 18th edition of LʼEtape du Tour, and queenʼs stage of the Tour de France, from Pau to the col du Tourmalet. See the 174km route in its entirety as we climb the col de Marie Blanque and beautifully serene col du Soulor before teeing things up for the Tourmalet itself. Find out where to shelter form the wind, where to feed and what lies around the next hairpin.
With over 4,000 metres of climbing itʼs by no means an easy ride. Donʼt make the same schoolboy error Octave Lapize made all those years ago by leaving the house without knowing what he was letting himself in for. Knowledge is power. Learn the route and enjoy the ride.
LʼEtape du Tour from Pau to Tourmalet is now on general release. The DVD is available from the Cyclefilm Shop for £17.99. www.cyclefilm.com
