Wilier Cento Uno gets even lighter with the SL
Last week Wilier released details of its all-new Imperiale, a bike that has been designed to eke out as much aerodynamic performance as possible (along similar lines to the Cervelo S3 and Felt AR), and now we can bring you some information on the other new models in the range.
Designed with the input of Giro d’Italia winner Damiano Cunego, the Cento Uno was already on the svelte side. The designers at Wilier still felt there was room for improvement however, and for 2010 the Cento SL lops some 150g of thanks to the use of T60 carbon fibre, compared to the T46 on the current Cento Uno, brining the frame weight under the kilo marker. The new frame has already been race proven in this year’s Tour de France.
