Wilier Strada
The Strada is a new model for 2015 and while the revamped Zero 7 utilises Wilier’s most innovative and up-to-date technologies, the Strada harks back to days of old.
It’s described as a multi-use commuting/training/sportive machine, with a chromoly steel frame and frame, clearance and bosses for mudguards and a rack, and retro styling.

“This is the other end of the scale to the Zero 7,” said Izzard. “What we wanted to do is create an entry-level bike which is a little bit different. It’s less race-focused and more of a do-it-all machine. Bikes like this end up being ridden to work, on weekend rides with your mates, sportives maybe, and even a bit of light touring.”
The Strada will cost £675 with an eight-speed Shimano Claris groupset (and Tektro R330 brakes), 32-spoke Shimano Claris wheelset (selected, Izzard says, for their durability), Promax finishing kit and a Selle San Marco Era saddle.
