In any sport, we all have a competitive nature, whether that’s as a fourth cat. racer or a Tour de France winner – everyone wants to win.
Ultimately you have to go into a race and believe in yourself, and if you’ve done the work in training, then you’ve got nothing to worry about.

My advice to people is to just make sure that you can be the best you can be – and not be governed by everyone around you. If you get beaten along the way, so be it, as long as you know you put in 100 per cent. Having goals allows you to get the best out of yourself.
