Cube have released details of the 2012 Litening Super HPC – which the German manufacturer says is “without a doubt the fastest road bike Cube has ever put on wheels.”

The 2012 Litening Super HPC frame weighs just 860g and is constructed from 100 per cent carbon fibre, down to the bottom bracket area and the newly-developed dropouts.
Cube’s Advanced Twin Mould technology helps, according to the manufacturer, ensure the minimum of material is used without compromising stability or safety.
The flattened top tube and seat stays have been made thinner to make the SHPC frame more comfortable, and a smaller-diameter Syntace Flexpost is added to reduce vibrations from the road. Meanwhile, the Cube CSL Evo fork weighs 320g, with the ceramic headset bearings helping to save weight.
The Litening Super HPC will be available in four builds – Pro, Race, SL and SLT – with prices yet to be confirmed.
Cube have also unveiled next year’s Agree GTC frame, which shares features from the Litening range but is designed for long rides – and is easier on the wallet.
Five builds are available, with the two top-spec options – Di2 and SL – coming with the Cube CSL Evo fork, while the others – Pro, Race and SLT – feature the Cube CSL Race fork, which, with its tapered aluminium steerer, weighs 485g.
