Cumbrian Killer 2010

Taking place on 2nd May and in its second year of running, the 2010 Cumbrian Killer is a cyclosportive event for the experienced rider that traverses some of the most challenging cycling country in the UK.

The event starts at Dallam School on the north Lancashire / Cumbrian border and takes in some of the legendary climbs of the English Lake District. The climbs of Kirkstone Pass (16%), Red Bank (25%), Blea Tarn (25%) and the legendary Wrynose (25%) and Hardknott Passes (30%) all feature along with an unforgettable descent of “The Struggle”. With approximately 2,620 metres of climbing over 88 miles (full course) through superb mountain scenery, it will appeal to expert sportive riders who relish a severe challenge and will make a perfect warm up for the Fred Whitton Memorial.

There is a shorter course of 73 miles with 2,000 metres of climbing to allow more cyclists to enjoy the majestic landscape of the Lake District.

The event costs £35 to enter. The price includes feedstops, electronic timing,a fully signed course and a sag wagon for support. The two feed stations will be placed at 30 miles and 60 miles.
