In addition to a new, flatter and more grippy sole for his seminal Fixed cycling shoe, old-school shoe maker Quoc Pham showed at the Cycle Show a new urban shoe with a sole able to accept mtb-style pedal cleats and styling suitable for office and party wear.
Called the Derby, the shoe features a welted sole with deep tread and central indent for the cleat and has restrained, traditional styling set off by a reflective vertical strip on the heel. Offered in European sizes 42 to 47, the shoe is available as a “made to order” option only and comes in brown suede or black leather. Price on application, as they say.
Quoc Pham shoes are available in the UK through a number of London retail outlets including Mosquito Bikes, Condor Cycles and Geoffrey Butler Cycles.
