Evans Cycles is to host a new show – billed as ‘the country’s biggest demo weekend’ – at Redbridge Cycling Centre on the weekend of March 19-20.
The annual staff show, open to the public for the first time this year, will run in conjunction with a sportive road ride and a family fun ride.
Hundreds of products from the industry’s leading bike manufacturers will be available to test ride on the Redbridge’s purpose built road circuit and off-road track. Exhibiting manufacturers include Trek, Scott, BMC, Fuji, Colnago, Cannondale, Lapierre, Santa Cruz, Niner and Brompton.
The Saturday Sportive has a choice of 30, 60 or 90-mile routes and the Sunday Sportive is a 10-mile family friendly ride. Both rides take in the local forest lanes and countryside and finish on the 2km Redbridge circuit.
Gore Bike Wear will be on hand with their ‘Try Before You Buy’ service, SIS will be stocking the feed stations with energy drinks and snacks and Memory Map will be supplying the maps and will have a range of Adventurer GPS units available for demo. Rider numbers are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
And, finally, former England footballer Geoff Thomas will be presenting his inspirational story of how he overcame leukaemia and rode all 3,500km of the 2005 Tour de France route and the M.A.D. mountain bike display team will be in action with their stunt display and coaching sessions.
Entry to the sportive and show costs £15.00 and entry to the show only costs £5.00. Children under 16 years old are free of charge when accompanied by a full paying adult.
