London artist James Straffon has announced details of his latest showcase – The Gran Corsa d’Italia.
The exhibition will run 11am-6pm daily from April 18 until April 30 at The Frameless Gallery, 20 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1R 0DP.
Comprising large-scale, mixed-media canvases, Straffon’s new work focusses on ten celebrated aspects of Italian culture, using the Giro d’Italia as its centrepiece.
Presented in association with the Prostate Cancer Charity and Sharp Electronics, the Gran Corsa d’Italia adopts its title from the charity event of the same name. The ride, which will run in June, will see a group of amateur riders tackle the full route of the 2011 Giro d’Italia.
A percentage of sales from Straffon’s exhibition will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Charity.
