The Southern Sportive’s organisers have been in touch with us ahead of this Sunday’s 6th event, with some last minute news and information.
They are now approaching 900 riders for the September 11th event, and there are just a couple of days left to enter. Booking closes at midnight this Thursday (8th Sept), and there will be no more entries taken after that time, and no entry on the day for this event.
The event features four distance options (up to and including the new 192km Wilier Gauntlet!), two to four support stations, depending on your route choice, comprehensive marking, instant timing feedback at the finish, food and energy drinks, and the top quality organisation the Southern Sportive have become noted for.
If you’ve already entered, you should have received the first part of your pre event information last week. If you didn’t get it yet, or missed it somehow, don’t worry; the route pack (including map and GPS files) will be sent out by email today, and will include another link to the earlier information too. The rider list will be posted on the Southern Sportive website tomorrow (Wednesday), and updated with final entries on Friday.
They have also sent us a preview of this year’s event t-shirt, and following on from their Great Western Sportive shirt earlier in the year, the organisers say their ethos is to give you a good quality shirt that you will actually want to wear, rather than just push to the back of the drawer!
