REVOLUTION 5 – THE OLYMPIC HOMECOMING…

REVOLUTION 5 will kick off the second Revolution Series in style with an Olympic homecoming event featuring a host of our Olympic medallists and Team GB riders.

It will be the first time many of the GB stars will have appeared on the track since their success in Athens this summer so it will be the perfect opening to Series 2. The party will be even bigger as the Manchester Velodrome will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Within those 10 years the Velodrome has been integral in developing the level of track cycling in the UK and has contributed significantly to the success of Team GB in Athens. Commenting on his recent success Olympic gold medallist Chris Hoy confirmed the importance of the Velodrome, “It’s also about the facilities – the money that went to build the velodrome in Manchester. That facility is responsible for all the medals. Without question, it has put us where we are today.” Words the Velodrome will be proud of I’m sure.

So to match the occasion Revolution Series 2 will be taking the racing and entertainment up a level to continue the amazing success of cycling in the UK. We will be announcing the star riders for Revolution 5 over the coming weeks and will provide full details on all the additional developments – many thanks for all the people who filled in our online questionnaire. We have taken your comments on board and you should see some over them in action over the coming events.

Revolution 5 will be held on SATURDAY 23RD OCTOBER – keep posted on the Revolution 5 information page for news on riders and other attractions.
