The Mayor of London Skyride, a free mass-participation cycling event, will be held on 20 September 2009 and will start in Hyde Park.
Cyclists will be able to enjoy a traffic-free capital for the day, following a 15km route which encompasses Victoria embankment, St Paul’s Cathedral and the heart of the City financial district.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson will be riding the route, alongside members of the British cycling team and Skyride ambassador and TV personality Gethin Jones.
Last year saw 50,000 cyclists take to the car-free roads of London for the Sky Sports London Freewheel and this year is expected to be bigger and better.
