The WorldTour’s newest team, GreenEDGE, got off to the best possible start with victory in last month’s Santos Tour Down Under.
Anyone who admired their understated white, green, and black kit will be pleased to learn it will soon be available in UK shops.
Italian clothing manufacturer, Santini, is releasing two versions of the kit: a standard and a team edition kit, which is made to an identical specification to that worn by GreenEDGE riders.
The team edition kit features the Aero jersey, a short sleeved, full zipped garment, fronted with an especially stretchable lycraKa fabric. Santini warn that the jersey offers an “extremely tight fit”.
It can be paired with matching bib shorts, fitted with white mesh straps and a pad with a core made from NEXT material, which promises heat resistance, shock absorbency, and a construction that leaves no stitches in contact with the skin. The jersey is expected to sell for £79.99 and the shorts for £99.99.
For those seeking a more wallet-friendly option, the standard jersey, made in Italy from moisture wicking Energy fabric, is expected to sell for £57.50, while the standard bib short, with a recommended retail price of £69.99, is constructed from a mix of Newport fabric and Santini’s own, and fitted with white mesh braces and a Coolmax pad.
