Andre Greipel reigned supreme once again on stage three of the Tour Down Under. Here are the best snaps from the 135km stage from Unley to Victor Harbour…
Race report: Greipel wins to regain overall lead
Martin Kohler (BMC) started the day’s racing in the leader’s jersey – but not before being snapped with this joey
Edvald Boasson Hagen, who went on to finish third on the stage, was next up…
RCUK columnist Matt Brammeier (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) made the day’s break with Eduard Vorganov (Katusha), Thomas de Gendt (Vaconsoleil) and Jan Bakelants (Radioshack-Nissan-Trek).
Not a bad way to start the season…
BMC led the chase at the head of the peloton in support of Kohler
The break was reeled in with 40km, leaving Greipel and Yauheni Hutarovich (FDJ-BigMat) to go neck-and-neck for the line
And it was Greipel who emerged victorious to claim his second stage of this year’s race
The German now leads the general classification by eight seconds ahead of Kohler
