Some of Britain’s brightest young cycling talents are to ride for an exciting new team sponsored by sports clothing giant Adidas and sports nutrition specialists Science in Sport (SiS).
The team, to be known as Adidas – Science in Sport, will be the domestic outfit comprising of Geraint Thomas, Mark Cavendish, Ed Clancy, Tom White and Matt Brammeier. They are all members of the highly successful GB U23 Endurance Academy.
|
Indeed, the team already boasts two World champions in Mark Cavendish (Madison world champion 2005 with Rob Hayles) and Geraint Thomas (World junior Scratch Race champion in 2004).
The Adidas – Science in Sport team will be appearing at a number of prominent domestic events, including the National Track Championships, National Road Championships, National Criterium Championships, plus the popular Revolution Track series in Manchester. The team will, of course, be using Adidas clothing, and Science in Sport nutritional products.

Great Britain Team Performance Director Dave Brailsford welcomed the new sponsorship deal, saying that:
“The GB team is already working closely with Adidas and SiS and the creation of this new team further strengthens our close working relationship with both of them. This is an exceptional group of young riders and it is great to see them receiving such significant support for their domestic racing programme.”
