With two weeks to go to the organisers of this year’s Otley Cycle Races have announced that entries are still open to Elite, 1st and 2nd cat riders for the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series race on Thursday 26th June.
Strong entries have been received from Sportscover JE James, Pinarello RT, Rapha Condor Recycling, Plowman Craven and Pearl Izumi and these will be joined by Bradley Wiggins and Jeremy Hunt as well as plenty of experienced local riders.
However, race organisers are keen to see a full 100 signatures on the start sheet and have appealed for more riders to take up the challenge.
Graeme Collin, for Otley Cycle Races 2008, said: “The Otley Crit has a reputation for being a tough test but it’s also well established on the race calendar, draws crowds of over 4,000 knowledgeable
cycling fans and offers over £1,500 in total prize money. We’ve got a full house for the 3rd and 4th cat race, but we’d love to see more riders for the Elite Series.
