Of course, he won’t be able to do it alone. The support of his Team Sky colleagues has been a feature of a seamless transition from HTC-Highroad that has already brought wins in the Tour of Qatar, Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, and Tirreno-Adriatico.

Cavendish was followed to Team Sky by Bernard Eisel, a key member of his former team, HTC-Highroad. In this video, Cavendish and Eisel discuss a highly successful working relationship they hope will deliver victory on Saturday in the first ‘monument’ Classic of the season.
