LondonCycleSport has announced the first “RideDay” consumer event, which will be held on the 22nd February 2009 at the Hog Hill circuit, London’s newest cycling facility.
Several London and the South East-based retailers will be at Hog Hill offering attendees the chance to try a large selection of bikes and brands on Hog Hill’s purpose built road and off-road circuits.
Other attractions based in and around the new Hog Hill pavilion will include Rollapaluza and their roller rigs. Cyclefilm and Cycle Surgery will be screening a selection of DVD’s to include “L’etape du Tour 2009 Recon”.
LondonCycleSport has arranged free entry to the circuit for pre-registered readers with changing rooms, showers, café, seating, and ample parking available.
LondonCycleSport’s Simon Ormesher and John Mullineaux commented that, in the teeth of recession and the depths of winter, it was the natural time to think of doing the best kind of bike show – one where you can speak with your local dealer and actually get to ride the products they sell.
Michael Humphreys, who played a major role in the drive for new facilities to support the cycle sport scene in London, is handling operations.
