The Smithfield Nocturne, the award-winning series of elite cycle races around Smithfield Market, has confirmed global smartphone designer HTC as the 2010 headline sponsor.
The HTC Smithfield Nocturne will take place on Saturday 19th June 2010 around Smithfield Market in the heart of the City of London. Now in its fourth year, the event attracts an audience of 10,000 spectators with races like the Folding Bike Race and the Fixed Longest Skid.
HTC designs a wide portfolio of mobile phones and is, says Face Partnership managing director James Pope, “an exciting brand which will help us make the 2010 Smithfield Nocturne the most exciting event to date. We are looking forward to working together to enhance the spectator experience and bring some top riders to the streets of the City of London.”
The Elite Criterium will be the highlight of a packed race programme which will also feature the City of London Team Challenge and a special Architect and Developer Race. This is linked to the London Festival of Architecture, which also launches on Saturday 19th June 2010.
The Smithfield Nocturne is free to attend and is also supported by the City of London.
