The picturesque, twisting, largely car-free and entirelypan flat lanes of Romney Marsh will play host to the second successive running of London-based CycleFit’s Tour of the Marsh on Sunday 18th September.
Two routes, starting from Folkestone Racecourse and covering either 150km or 100km, are on offer, the former leaving the Marsh for the lumpy country north of Ashford for a hilly finale while the former stays mostly on flat roads, making it, according to CycleFit, a ride that will encourage “group riding, pacelines and echelons.” Best put your fast legs on, then.
“Gourmet” sustenance is provided by London cycling café Look Mum no Hands and there are Hi-5 goody bags for all entrants.
Entry online at a cost of £25 for either route is available until midnight on 16th September with entry on the line available for cash only at a £5 surcharge.
