Wiggle and the Prostate Cancer Charity have teamed up to launch the Jurassic Classic sportive.
The inaugural ride will take place on Sunday July 8, with 100km and 100-mile routes starting from Exmouth Rugby Club, Devon.
“We are extremely excited to announce the Wiggle Jurassic Classic 2012,” said Prostate Cancer Charity director of fundraising Mark Bishop. The event is designed to fulfil the challenge needs of those with varying amounts of cycling experience.
“With a route set out along the Jurassic coastline we hope riders can enjoy the stunning scenery along the way and finish up at Exmouth Rugby Club to enjoy a celebratory drink with their supporters.
“Every year 37,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and with one man dying every hour from the disease we are urging cyclists to sign up, enjoy the day and support the Prostate Cancer Charity.”
Entry costs £28 and includes chip timing, fully signed and marshalled routes, well-stocked feed stations and a medal at the end.
