Rest day
After nine largely enthralling stages, and four riders having had the honour of wearing the pink leader’s jersey, the 2015 Giro d’Italia has entered its first rest day.
It’s time, then, to reflect on the action so far, with Alberto Contador holding a slender lead at the top of the general classification, and locked in a three-way battle for supremacy with Fabio Aru and Richie Porte.
