Jack Bobridge (Team Budget Forklifts/Australia)
Having departed the WorldTour stage to join his fellow Australian team pursuit squad members at Team Budget Forklifts, Jack Bobridge is set to take on the hour record in 2015 – with the team to make a more detailed announcement soon.
And Bobridge is a huge favourite to set a new mark as one of Australia’s finest track cyclists, with an impressive palmares to his name.
Already the world record holder for the 4km individual pursuit, the 25-year-old defended his Commonwealth Games gold medals in the team pursuit and individual pursuit in Glasgow in the summer.
A three-time world champion on the boards, and the former world under-23 time trial champion, Bobridge certainly has the pedigree to take on the hour mark.
Team Budget Forklifts have packed the squad to help Bobridge, Glenn O’Shea, Luke Davison, Mitchell Mulhern and Scott Sunderland prepare for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
And what better way to kick off the countdown to Rio than by storming into the record books against the hour?
