Science in Sport are gearing up for Sir Bradley Wiggins’ UCI Hour Record attempt by pledging to give away 300,000 free gels if the world time trial champion beat’s Alex Dowsett’s current mark.
Up to 25,000 people can register on www.powerthehour.com and if the record is broken on Sunday (June 7), all entrants will receive a code that entitles them to 12 SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gels, worth £16.80, on their next order at scienceinsport.com.
Science in Sport are the official nutrition supplier to Sir Brad’s eponymous new team. The 35-year-old will tackle the hour at London’s Lee Valley VeloPark, bidding to break the record fellow Brit Dowsett set in Manchester last month.
Science in Sport marketing director, Ashley Read, said: “The hour is an important moment in cycling’s history and we want all cycling fans to get behind Brad and support him on this monumental day.
“We’d like to say thanks for this support and offer free SiS gels to entrants, as used by Team WIGGINS.”
One entry is permitted per email address and you can register on www.powerthehour.com. Free gels must be claimed before July 31.
