Tour of Britain 2014: British domestic riders who could make their mark

The men flying the flag for the home UCI Continental teams

Yanto Barker will need no introduction to fans of British cyclesport – the Welsh-born rider having been crowned domestic number one last year before winning the Elite Road Series this time out.

Barker’s experience came to the fore as Team Raleigh were also crowned team champions, allowing them to enter the Tour of Britain in buoyant mood.

The 34-year-old has admitted there are stages which he feels he and his team-mates are capable of getting results on, and with a strong roster it is certainly possible.

French duo Matthieu Boulo and Morgan Kneisky have also been in good form for the team this season, while Ian Wilkinson will provide experienced back-up too.

Riding in the iconic red-and-yellow kits of their TI-Raleigh forefathers, this is certainly a great opportunity for the Nottingham-based team to prove themselves on the big stage.
