While his Team Sky team-mates were spending another day on the front of the bunch at the Vuelta a Espana, Edvald Boasson Hagen was preparing to life away from the British team next season.
Former Norwegian champion Boasson Hagen, who has been with Sky since their inception in 2010, will join MTN-Qhubeka next season, as the African team confirmed yesterday.
It is just the latest big-name transfer to be announced in a season since the transfer window opened, in a month which has already seen Peter Sagan (Cannondale to Tinkoff-Saxo) and Bauke Mollema (Belkin Pro Cycling to Trek Factory Racing) among those heading for pastures new.
