World champion Rui Costa (Lampre-Merida) may have taken top spot at the Tour de Suisse – but he was far from the only one celebrating after the nine-day race.
Swiss team IAM Cycling fine-tuned their Tour de France preparations over the tough course, with the UCI Pro Continental outfit ready to make their Grand Tour debut next month.
The team is rich in talent, with Sylvain Chavanel among the star riders in their ranks, while Mathias Frank continued his impressive season to date with second overall in his home race – having also impressed with fourth at the Tour de Romandie.
Bike care brand Muc-Off, one of the team’s sponsors, were on hand in Switzerland to take an inside look at how the team functions and how they were shaping up for the biggest race of their season in just under than two weeks time.
They got the inside track with the team’s soigneurs, chatted exclusively to directeur sportif Kjell Carlstrom and rode shotgun in the team car as the race unfolded.
In this video you can see the view from the team car as the Swiss team looked for stage honours on stage six, a stage which proved to be an enthralling one as both Jonathan Fumeaux and Frank launched solo attacks for the win.
