Bike Science have launched the 2014 Estuary Epic Sportive on Sunday July 13, with a day of riding and festivities planned.
Offering two routes, one of 48 miles and the other of 82 miles, the sportive departs from The Plough Inn just outside Bristol.
The former is designed to be ideal for sportive first timers, with the 82-mile route a challenge for more experienced thanks to the undulating latter half of the route.
In addition to the rides, a barbeque, chidren’s activities and play area – including a bouncy castle – and live Tour de France coverage will also be on offer.
A cycling expo is also scheduled for the day, and organiser Andy Sexton hopes it will prove to be a day for the whole family.
He said: “Our aim is to give people a really enjoyable day – great cycling and an opportunity to bring your family for a fun day out.”
