Six ways to make the most of the end of summer on the bike

Put your late-season form to good use

Go on tour

If one big day on the bike isn’t enough for you, why not go on tour?

September is an ideal time to saddle up and take to the open road for several days on the bike. You can go for a full multi-day ride in the deepest, darkest countryside with a fully-laden touring bike, or a one or two-night ‘light touring’ excursion on your regular road bike and with a seatpost bag.

What better way to make the most of the end of summer then by sticking a pin in a map and heading into new territory, exploring new roads? Time away from the hubbub of daily life and on the bike is time well spent.
