Go touring
If you’ve spent the summer months clocking the miles on your local roads, then a great way to put that fitness to use is to go touring. A time to unwind, not worry about smashing sportives or bagging PBs, and exploring new roads.
September and October are popular months for cyclists to round up a few fellow riders and go on tour to take in roads they might otherwise not get chance to explore. The easiest option is to go ‘credit card touring’ on a two or three-day trip with light luggage, whether that’s a pannier or saddle/handlebar bag, and stay in local B&Bs.
