Vulpine, a new player in the cycle clothing market, are organising a Christmas fete in Balham, south London, on Saturday December 1, promising cycling, shopping, music and mulled wine.
The event will follow the same format as the inaugural Vulpine cycling fete in June. “The concept is, and will always be, the same,” said Vulpine founder Nick Hussey.
“A fun, dynamic, inclusive way to enjoy all aspects of cycling. There’s no snobbery, just great creativity, atmosphere, booze and British entrepreneurial cycling companies that do what they do to a very high standard indeed.”
The fete is free to attend, although Vulpine ask that visitors make a small donation to the two nominated charities: Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome, fighting to save one of British cycling’s greatest venued, and Rollapaluza Outreach, encouraging cycling and sport in schools.
The event will take place from 3pm to 9pm at Balham Bowls Club, where there will be a range of cycling artists and exhibitors, including cycling poster art specialists ArtCrank, Look Mum No Hands (who will be providing cake) and Rollapaluza (who will be organising roller racing ’til late), plus frame builders Paulus Quiros, Tom Donhou, Singular Cycles and Tokyo Fixed.
