The world-renowned Goodwood Motor Circuit will host the second edition of the Orbital Cycling Festival in July.
Billed as a celebration of all things cycling, the weekend – held from Saturday July 26 to Sunday July 27 – will include activities for all varieties of cyclist, including a road race with a £5,000 prize pot and the Brompton World Championship.
Mountain biking, a recumbent bike race, a keirin race and guided family rides will also feature, with more than 10,000 expected to converge on the Sussex event.
The Orbital 500 road race, with the £5,000 prize pot, is set to attract big name riders from the UK racing scene, with a range of other attractions on show during the weekend.
A bike jumble, expo, market area and the final weekend of the Tour de France beamed on big screens will all feature, while free running, cycle jumping and BMX displays are also on the card.
A demo track will also be available for all riders, while under-fives can use balance bikes on a manned, contained track to allow families to attend.
Antony Auty, Orbital Cycling Festival founder, said: “Our goal is to bring all cyclists together for an exciting weekend of all things cycling.
“We’ve made sure there’s lots for everyone to do, even the non-cyclists of your group. It’s an opportunity to bring all the family or to have a fun weekend away with friends. Last year was Orbital’s first year and it was a huge success. We can’t wait for July.”
Camping is available opposite the race circuit and live music will be put on.
