On Tuesday, the UCI WorldTour season will kick off in the sweltering heat of Australia as the Tour Down Under rolls out in Adelaide.
The traditional curtain-raiser to the European season has attracted a star-studded start list for its 16th edition, with a number of home favourites set to compete.
Cadel Evans (BMC Racing), Richie Porte (Team Sky) and newly-crowned national champion, Simon Gerrans (Orica-GreenEDGE), will all take the start line on Tuesday.
