Sarto
Sarto
While they might not be the best known name around, Sarto have been making bike frames for over 60 years. In fact, lots of other Italian brands have put their own decals on frames constructed by Sarto. At Bespoked, the Veneto-based brand had something rather special on show: the Sarto 18K.
If you’ve already had a sneaky glance at the photos you’ll probably have figured out what the 18K means, every bit of the gold detailing in the frame is exactly that: 18 carat gold. Not the most practical by any means, but then if practicality was the name of the game then most of the fancy constructions and beautiful paint jobs at Bespoked might as well have not bothered showing up.
Sarto will only make 25 of these limited bikes, each one custom tailored to the rider who buys it. Also, the leather look material on the saddle, bars and chainstay is actually Zimbabwean crocodile skin, which is a slightly less tasteful touch to an amazing project.
