DeAnima
One of the brands at Bespoked specialising in carbon, DeAnima, make their frames in northern Italy using the skills of Gianni Pegoretti – brother of Dario Pegoretti of Pegoretti bikes.
Gianni also directs the San Patrignano framebuilding shop. Now San Patrignano is primarily a drug rehab facility for young people, where as part of the process they’re taught skills such as framebuilding. Not that it has anything to do with the bikes here, but it’s quite an interesting story.
This bike is called the Unblended, and is built using Toray 700 carbon fibre tubes made in Italy, meaning the bike is genuinely Italian made, not Taiwan made and assembled in Italy (not that there’s anything wrong with that, mind you).
This one’s finished off with 11-speed Campag Chorus (obviously, they were hardly going to put Shimano on it, right?), and Deda’s Trentacinque (35) bars and stem with a Deda seatpost, too. The decals on the frame are straight onto the bare carbon, giving the bike a pretty cool look, even if the pink finishing kit might not be for everyone.
