Designed specifically for fixed-wheel and fixed-gear or ‘singlespeed’ bikes, the new Uno component range by London’s Condor Cycles comprises chainsets, hubs, rims, sprockets and complete wheelsets.
The various components are Condor-branded and are offered, where possible, in a range of colours and specifications to help buyers customise their machine. The hubs, for example, are available in 32 hole and 36 hole drillings and in a choice of Silver, Black, Red, Blue, Gold or White finishes, with White examples due in stock in January 2010.
Priced at £24.99/£29.99 front/rear, Uno hubs have sealed cartridge bearings, mid-height flanges and, at the rear, a flip-flop design to allow the per rim and are available in black or white.
For those who don’t want to built their own hops, Condor offers the handbuilt Uno Fixed Wheelset, which, unsurprisingly, is built around Uno hubs and rims and starts at £185 per pair. Options include spoke count and hub and rim colour.
