For the coming Cyclocross and Road seasons, SRAM will equip the rising women’s Team
DSB Bank with SRAM FORCE components.
The team, constituted of 10 to 12 riders will be
based in the Netherlands and will race all year round on the women’s road circuit.
Team
leader Marianne Vos, current Road and Cyclocross World Champion will be focusing
this winter with two other of her team mates on the Cyclocross Worldcup and World
Championships.
Marianne Vos (19 years old) is currently holding the two most prestigious road titles one
could ever dream of. As she expressed on Studio Sport (Dutch television program): “…I
cannot believe it myself. I am only 19 years old and I have already won two world titles. If I
were to stop now, I would have nothing to be ashamed of.“
SRAM’s involvement in the Cyclocross scene is an important step forward for road racing components and their
future development. SRAM FORCE will now be race proven across Europe in the most demanding conditions. To
bring it yet another level, SRAM has the firm intention of getting involved at the Pro Tour level.
