Endura Road Overshoe

Only the foolhardy ride in wet weather without overshoes and we’re happy not to count ourselves among their number. While overshoes come in a host of shapes and sizes – and you can learn more about them in our buyer’s guide – Endura’s Road overshoe is of the robust, single-lined Neoprene variety, offering all the style of a wellington boot, but we hope a performance to match.

We’ll declare an interest: Endura’s super-stretch Neoprene overshoe is the best of any we’ve tested and one of our ‘go to’ items. The Road has much to live up to. It makes a promising start by offering the same Kevlar-reinforced sole. The use of a single-lined Neoprene, however, has forced Endura to include a zip at the rear, rather than to rely on the natural stretch of the fabric. While our history with zips on overshoes is an unhappy one, we can see why Endura has opted to use a single-lined Neoprene (greater water resistance) and hope for similar robustness from the zip. The closure mechanism is finished with a Velcro strap at the top of the zip, and details include reflective strips either size of the zip and reflective logos.
