Radioshack team bikes revealed

Team Radioshack’s Trek Madone

For the 2010 race season Trek have stayed loyal to Lance Armstrong and will supply bikes and equipment for his new squad, Team Radioshack.

Photos of the team bikes have been released, though how much the paint schemes might change between now and the debut of the new team next year remains to be seen. The bike does boldly demonstrate Project One’s skills with an airbrush, with colour fades, repeated Trek and Radioshack logos prominently printed across the frame and onto the wheels. There’s some smart detailing on the inside of the fork legs, something we’ve seen on other brands previously it should be noted.

Underneath the bold design however the same Madone 6 on which Armstrong is made his comeback this year is clearly present. The bikes will be equipped with SRAM Red components and Bontrager wheels, handlebars, stems, bar tape, bottles, cages, and computers. Team Shack riders will also receive Trek’s Prototype 2011 Speed Concept bicycles before gearing up for the Tour Down Under in January.

“We are excited to fuel the success of our friends at Team RadioShack by providing the most technologically advanced bicycles and components in the world,” noted Trek’s Director of Marketing, Dean Gore. “Our sponsorship of professional athletes has consistently pushed Trek to innovate and produce products which perform at the absolute highest level, and we look forward to continuing these fruitful relationships.”
