The Hutchinson Sector 28 Tubeless tyre tackles two recent trends – tubeless and wider rubber. The tyre’s name gives a clue as to its intended use, with the rubber developed for the cobblestone secteurs of Paris-Roubaix, but it’s equally at home on the unbroken tarmac of the UK, and particularly if you like to venture further afield on to gravel roads. The dual compound construction combines an efficient rubber on the centre of the tyre with softer shoulders for excellent grip. Claimed weight is respectable at 295g, ensuring the Hutchinson Sector 28 Tubeless remains relatively quick while offering a supremely plush ride. You’d certainly hope so given the equally inflated price tag.
