Vittoria’s Corsa G+ clincher tyres are available with a tan sidewall. That’s it – this makes them eminently desirable, and we could just leave this RCUK100 entry right here.

But we won’t, because of course there’s more to it than that. The Corsa G+ tyre is quite simply one of the best all-round, all-weather clincher tyres you can buy.

It features four compounds throughout the construction, which are said to maximise speed, grip, durability and puncture protection, while the sidewalls have received a Kevlar lining for extra beef in this often-exposed area. Naturally, this will appeal to normal UK road riders, we suspect, if our local roads are anything to go by.

They also make use of the new wonder material, graphene, which it’s said has the remarkable ability to act like a chameleon. One moment on the flat, it’ll roll super smoothly, but tip it into a loaded bend and the material will become more pliable and able to provide optimum grip. So theoretically, you can have it all with the Corsa G+ tyres.

The tread also takes the form of longitudinal lines around the carcass, which has the dual impact of reducing straight line rolling resistance while also allowing a little more mouldability when the tyre needs to bed down and dig into the road.

The rubber is available in 23mm, 25mm (pictured) and 28mm widths, weighing in from 240g at its lightest in 700c format, up to 265g. There’s also a 23mm version in 650b format, and this weighs 225g.

So, if you want to use the Corse G+ clincher tyres on a smooth mountain pass, on a local crit race or over your favourite section of cobbles, they’re going to feel right at home, come rain or shine.

And you can get them with a tan side wall. Enough said.
