Another mostly-mesh construction, Rapha’s Climber’s Jersey is a blend of open and eyelet mesh material which aims to find a balance between low weight, breathability and an ability to keep its shape when unzipped.
It may not look as obviously lightweight as some of the other jerseys here but, as we found out when we reviewed it recently, it does the job so well you won’t want to be out in it when the temperature dips under around 20 degrees.
It has excellent elasticity as well, keeping it comfortable even if you’re out of the saddle and moving around, and its wicking properties keep you commendably dry when you’re working hard and sweating profusely.
The open mesh is used under the arms, down the sides, inside the rear pockets and just above the hem and add an extra cooling touch, as well as allowing some air to move through the jersey.
