SKS unveil range-topping Airmenius track pump

Long barrel, cork handle and 100mm gauge for new flagship pump

SKS have unveiled a new, top-of-the-range track pump.

The Airmenius, spotted at Cycle Vision, the house show of UK distributor Zyro, is a professional grade track pump, according to the German brand best know for their pumps, mudguards and tools.

SKS have two new track pumps: the top-of-the-range Airmenius (left) and the more affordable Airkompressor 12.0 (right)

The pump stands at 735mm tall and has a long aluminium barrel, with a large (100mm) and easy-to-read display at the bottom, and a grippy cork handle at the top. A solid aluminium base, with a wide stance, keeps things steady. Turn the pump over and the bottom can be opened to remove any grease or debris from the barrel.

The Airmenius fits both presta and schrader using a conventional flip lever head and SKS claim the pump can inflate a tyre up to 174 PSI/12 bar, though you’re unlikely to ever want to go that high.

The pump will cost £89.99, but if that’s more than you want to spend, SKS have also introduced a more affordable alternative, the Airkompressor 12.0, which shares many of the Airmenius’ best features.

The Airkompressor 12.0 is a little shorter than the Airmenius, but is still claimed to offer a high volume per pump stroke via its steel barrel.

Both pumps have easy-to-read pressure gauges

An 80mm gauge displays pressure and, like the Airmenius, the Airkompessor 12.0 can pump to 174 PSI/12 bar. It’s yours for £32.99, in black or white.
