SRAM Force: A closer look

It seems an eternity since little red frogs were first released on marketing pieces all over the cycling industry. SRAM Force has made a big impact at Eurobike and the recent London Excel Cycle Show as the latest, most exciting and most innovative component to hit the market in recent times. The Force groupset has come a long way since being sketched on a napkin over a few beers by its creators, and still has a long way to go to be accepted into the highly competitive road market.

So, what’s all the fuss about? SRAM’s bold move into the road market must be admired, with a good hold already established in the mountain biking market a movement into the road sector has been well researched, designed and now manufactured. With an elegant carbon weave and most parts of the groupset and weights to match, we have lots to look forward to. We’ll be putting the Force through its paces in a full in-depth review later, once we’ve finished fiddling with the shifter design that is.
