Netherlands-based titanium specialist Van Nicholas has announced a new-for-2010 model, labelled the Mistral, which will retail for €1699 or around £1250 for the complete machine.
The specification for the Mistral, which will feature the company’s traditional hand-built frame, includes crankset and headset by FSA, Shimano 105 shifting and Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels.
Brakes, saddle, bars, stem and seatpost are Van Nicholas’ own VNT brand as is the full-carbon fork, while tyres are Continental’s UltraSport.
To be available only as a complete cycle and offered with a lifetime warranty, the Mistral is, naturally, pitched as an ‘affordable’ titanium bike. Sizes are 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60cm.
