“It’s been an obsession since the first day I saw these local kids riding BMXs and I was like, ‘That’s what I wanna do’,” says Ricky Feather. “Bikes have always been in my life, really.”
Feather is one of the UK’s foremost frame builders and has turned his obsession with cycling into his day job as owner of Feather Cycles. The former welder is the man behind some of the most beautiful frames to be produced in the UK in recent years, and is a key figure in the rebirth of UK bike building.
“It’s never really been about the benefits of what you earn,” says Feather. “It’s all about the love of cycling and riding bikes.”
