The freshnlo Pedal for Scotland sportive has issued a last call for entries to Sunday’s ride – with more than 9,000 cyclists already set to saddle up.
Organisers Cycling Scotland have added a 100-mile route through the South Uplands and a three-mile off-road family circuit around Glasgow Green to add to the existing 51-mile ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
Event organiser Andrew Pankhurst said: “Freshnlo Pedal for Scotland was established in 1998 to promote cycling as a healthy lifestyle choice.
“Now in its twelfth year, we are delighted to see yet another increase in the number of people signing up for the biggest bike ride in Scotland.”
