The UCI Highclere Castle MagnifiCat sportive reaches its third year when it takes place on 7 June, and will be the first UK sportive to offer GPS tracking for each rider.
The GPS ChampionChip Tracker system will mean each rider’s progress will be tracked live and shown in detail to anyone who chooses to watch. It sounds very exciting, and when organiser Ken Robson asked if RCUK wanted to try it out, we didn’t have to think too long before saying yes.
So, today, fingers crossed, the RCUK team (that’ll be Richard and David) will be taking part in a preview of the event and will be trying out the ChampionChip Tracking Service, and you’ll be able to track our very progress. So no pressure then, as we tackle the full 126 mile route…
Simply click this link and you and should be able to see where we at. http://spectator.sport-track.com/22845. We’ll be setting off at 9am. Enjoy!
The UCI Highclere Castle event is run to UCI cyclosportive standards of rider support and has several feed stations, fully-arrowed long and short routes and both individual and team awards with gold, silver and bronze standards at a series of age categories.
